Decorative Designs Concrete Division Newsletter

Hello Everyone,
Welcome to the very FIRST Decorative Concrete Division Newsletter. Let me start by introducing myself, my name is Tony Mueller and I am the Manager of the Decorative Concrete Division for Decorative Designs. I have 15 years in the concrete / Decorative Concrete industry and plenty of experience under my belt. I started in the concrete industry with my family owned business up north doing all kinds of concrete slab and forming, but soon realized that the passion that I possessed inside me for my creativeness was becoming bored with just pouring slabs and forming concrete. I started looking for schools and training classes with Institutions that would be able to educate and instruct me in the creative aspects of Decorative Concrete finishes. Decorative Concrete was then in its infancy and had not really started to take off as an industry on its own. The more information, training and education I received, the more I wanted to pursue this as a career. This career change into the creative art and techniques of the Decorative Concrete field really fit who I am. Over many years I developed my knowledge and perfected the technique for using Color Stains, Concrete Stamping, Sculpturing and Carving and just creating "works of art" with concrete. Today, I have taken all that experience and knowledge of concrete, concrete materials and design and have implemented that into Pool Deck finishes, Patios, Lanai's, Driveways, Walkways, Hand Carved Stone and Brick, Counter Tops and Back Splashes. It's REALLY AMAZING the look you can accomplish with concrete texture, overlays and color and how it can enhance your home, inside or out. It doesn't have to be ugly anymore.
Decorative Concrete finishes, techniques and materials have come such a long way over the last 15 years that we can offer our clients virtually any look that they can imagine. I am very passionate about creating masterpieces out of concrete that I would love to hear any ideas that you might have for your home or project. Unlike other Decorative Concrete companies, we have a Studio/Showroom that you may visit and actually see samples on the floor created by myself and my staff.
I will be sending out a newsletter once a month to keep everyone up to date on any new finishes, specials we have for the month and/or just to say Hi and tell you about any fascinating projects we may be doing. Please let me know of any ideas that you may have for my monthly newsletter as well.

Concrete Tip of the Month: While maintaining your lawn this summer / fall, keep fertilizer away from your concrete. It can cause damage such as pitting and flaking which will weaken the top of your concrete slab or structure.
